Maine Audubon Pelagic Bird Trip

On October 3 at 6am, the Friendship V left Bar Harbor and ventured offshore for the annual Maine Audubon Pelagic Seabird Trip! On their way to and from Grand Manan passengers had the chance to see multiple pelagic seabird and marine mammal species! Whale species sighted included: minke, finback, humpback whales, long-finned pilot whales, and even the highly endangered North Atlantic right whale! We will update you on the bird species when we hear from senior naturalist, Zack Klyver, who guided the trip. This offshore adventure is usually offered every fall by the Bar Harbor Whale Watch Company and it is an incredible trip! Maybe we'll see you next year?
